And that's why you need to be reported a LOT before there are serious consequences.

So everyone doesn't hit the toilet, grab a dink, turn off phone and have all esential items within arms reach before starting an AB match?

Is it just me?

Next time, take one finger, press "Enter". Type: "brb". Press "Enter" again.

*nods*

How are they supposed to know you'll be right back, if you don't say so? For all they know you could have went out for a walk while they finish. Granted, people should't be quite so quick to hit /report. But that quote^ says enough.

hey its not that bad......

i once got reported for.. farming. i was farming for my monks fissure before the mystic regen nurf, so i would run out of bergens, kill everything, in 10 mins i would be back in bergens running out of the door. after i few runs i would move to gates of kryta, then to another place (secret :P ) and then back to bergens.

so as i run out i get a report for botting.... i PM the guy asking wtf he reported me without even trying to make sure im a bot.... like PMing with a comment or question or idk.

and besides that, bots usually wear the tyrian armor undyed, and dont wear kurzik armor dyed white.........

lol

That's why there should be a feature or command that lets a player's character become a "hero" for the time that they just have to be afk at that moment. When they come back, they can regain control of their character again.

Need to afk? Let the AI take over until you come back. I bet there are drawbacks to this idea but I can't think of one atm.

Edit:
Wouldn't work if you were soloing, obviously, it was meant to be used for when you have to temporarily leave other players for "real life". Afk for more than 3 minutes, and AI stops automatically and can't be used again like rez signet or use again after half-hour.

3 minutes is enough to take a piss, right? (As well as wipe the green gunk off the Op's nose.)

/agree - sometimes people are trigger happy when it comes to reporting. Giving people the benefit of the doubt when it comes to loading into a map is no bad thing. Personally, I give them about 2 minutes. If they haven't moved by then, I'm guessing they're leeching.

If they've been fighting along for a while and stop, I assume that RL happened. Ususally, the person starts up again within a minute or so, anyway.

People will either report you at the drop of a hat (or sneeze), but they will not report farming bots or gold spammers. Is there some warm fuzzy that goes with reporting real people who you know are actually there? It is quite annoying to me that you have to hit people with the CAPSLOCK sledgehammer to explain to them that the person who has been standing in your base for the last 10 minutes is a LEECH! and then people who pop out for 2 seconds get the leech label faster than you can say "pve"

Keep tissues at hand. Also if you don't have tissues, sneeze into your arm/sleeve, so that even if it is messy, you can still type.

People get pretty anal about it. It happens.

But there's also a pretty big difference between getting reported and getting banned for it : \ ANet has logs, so I wouldn't worry. They're also human beings, as well: Shit happens.

When I have to take a break away, unless it's a guild team I simply move my cursor to the top-right corner of the screen and click the X. That way I feel free to take my time and not be rushed. If it's with a guild team I give them a quick explanation and leave.

I agree. Although I could have lived through the day without the graphic description of sneezing itself.
